KP Labs and Parsimoni have established a collaboration to deliver Leopard DPU and SpaceOS as an integrated hardware and software solution for satellite missions. By combining high-performance onboard data processing with secure payload software management, the companies offer mission developers a single, cohesive stack for building and operating software-defined spacecraft.

As satellite missions grow increasingly dependent on onboard applications, operators face a persistent challenge: how to efficiently deploy, manage and update software running directly in orbit while maintaining mission reliability, security and performance. Until now, integrating a capable data processing unit with robust software lifecycle management has required significant custom engineering effort from mission teams, work that falls outside their core mission objectives.

The collaboration removes that burden. Leopard DPU, developed by KP Labs, provides high-performance data processing designed for data-intensive and autonomous space applications. SpaceOS, developed by Parsimoni, is a secure operating system built specifically for spacecraft payloads, enabling application deployment, software isolation, lifecycle management and in-orbit updates while meeting mission assurance and cybersecurity requirements. Together, they form a hardware and software stack where the interface between processing and software management is already solved, allowing customers to focus on their applications rather than the infrastructure beneath them.

“The role of software in space missions continues to grow, but with that growth comes increasing complexity in how applications are deployed, managed and maintained in orbit. Leopard DPU was designed to provide the data processing capabilities required by modern satellite missions. By pairing it with SpaceOS, we offer customers a complete solution where the hardware-software interface is already integrated, reducing engineering overhead and letting teams concentrate on what their mission actually needs to do.” - Julia Marushchak, Chief Growth Officer, KP Labs

SpaceOS introduces a secure-by-design, zero-trust, and formally verified modular architecture that lets mission operators deploy and update applications efficiently while maintaining strict workload isolation and supporting the reliability requirements of spacecraft operations. Combined with Leopard DPU’s processing capacity, the platform enables advanced onboard autonomy, data handling and AI-driven applications to be deployed, updated and scaled throughout the mission lifecycle, without returning to the drawing board each time requirements evolve.

“Making space infrastructure accessible to innovators requires more than powerful hardware or capable software alone. It requires secure-by-design architectures and seamless integration between onboard computing and software operations. By integrating SpaceOS with KP Labs’ Leopard DPU, we are enabling satellite operators to deploy, manage, and evolve applications in orbit with significantly less complexity and with strict security (including CCSDS SDLS and PQC). This collaboration helps customers focus on mission outcomes while maximizing the value, security, and flexibility of their space assets throughout their operational lifetime” -  Miklos Tomka, CEO and Co-Founder of Parsimoni

The integrated offering is aimed at mission developers, satellite operators and system integrators looking to reduce the complexity of building software-defined spacecraft. By delivering Leopard DPU and SpaceOS as a pre-integrated stack, KP Labs and Parsimoni provide a practical path to flexible, updateable missions, from initial development through end-of-life operations.

About KP Labs

Founded in 2016, KP Labs is a Polish space technology company advancing space exploration through the development of autonomous mission operations and onboard data processing systems. The company offers end-to-end solutions, including integrated hardware platforms, proprietary software, and advanced AI algorithms for Earth observation and planetary missions. KP Labs is involved in 10 space missions and has delivered over 50 R&D projects for the European Space Agency (ESA), NASA, and commercial clients. With a team of around 100 engineers and researchers, the company holds the status of an official R&D Center granted by the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

About Parsimoni

Founded in 2023 in France, with a U.S. presence established in 2025, Parsimoni is a space software company building the foundation for secure, efficient and software-defined satellites. Its flagship middleware, SpaceOS, enables satellite operators and mission developers to deploy, manage and update onboard applications throughout the mission lifecycle while meeting stringent security and mission assurance requirements. Through seamless integration with the Parsimoni App Store for Satellites, SpaceOS enables operators to securely discover, deploy and manage onboard applications, creating a flexible software ecosystem that extends satellite capabilities throughout their operational lifetime. Parsimoni’s technology has been validated in orbit, including recent demonstrations of post-quantum cryptography capabilities, and through projects with Thales Alenia Space, OHB, ESA, NASA and numerous commercial partners.
