Systems Engineer

Job description

• Define and manage system requirements throughout the product development lifecycle. 
• Bridge customer needs with engineering solutions by translating mission and business requirements into system-level specifications
• Coordinate the development and integration of hardware and software components into complete on-board data processing systems. 
• Collaborate with electronics, embedded software, FPGA, mechanical, and application software engineers to ensure coherent system architecture and successful product delivery. 
• Support customer technical discussions, system design reviews, and integration activities
• Prepare and maintain system engineering, Product Assurance and technical documentation. 
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, verification, validation, and product assurance processes. 
• Coordinate the integration of our on-board data processing units with customers' satellite platforms and payloads. 
• Participate in system verification, validation, and acceptance activities. 
• Follow the latest trends in space systems engineering and on-board data processing to continuously improve our products.

What we expect:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. 
• Proven experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar multidisciplinary engineering role, preferably within the space industry. 
• Good understanding of complex embedded systems combining electronics hardware, embedded software, FPGA, application software, and thermo-mechanical subsystems. 
• Experience with system architecture, requirements engineering, system integration, and verification activities. 
• Knowledge of interfaces between hardware and software components in embedded or space systems. 
• Experience working with technical documentation, engineering processes, and industry standards. 
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to participate in technical discussions with customers and prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations in English. 
• Availability to work from our Gliwice office at least one day per week. 

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of on-board data processing, satellite subsystems, or optical payloads. 
• Familiarity with ECSS, CCSDS, or other space industry standards. 
• Basic scripting or programming skills(e.g. Python) to support engineering and testing activities. 
• Experience with system verification, integration, or environmental testing of embedded or aerospace systems.
